Sea View Apartment in Cancelada - Oceana Gardens

In 1 het was fantastisch! Positive: Het appartement had alles om een zorgeloze, fijne vakantie te kunnen hebben, hoogtepunt was toch wel de hangmat op het terras met prachtig uitzicht op de bergen en de zee.

Extremely Disappointing Stay Negative: Although we were told we couldn’t check in earlier because the apartment needed to be cleaned and prepared, we arrived to find it in a shockingly poor state. The place was extremely dusty, shower was dirty, and trash had been left in the bathroom. We had to start our stay by vacuuming, cleaning the showers, and even washing the towels ourselves. One of the beds had a strong unpleasant  smell. The odor seemed to be coming from the mattress itself, suggesting it hadn’t been cleaned or replaced after a previous issue. The apartment is full of unnecessary, cheap decorations (plastic plants, photo frames, stone chains(?!)) and is quite uncomfortable overall. The trash bin is oddly placed, dining table is poorly positioned on the balcony (facing a wall not the view, further from thr entry), and bathroom hangers can’t hold towels. There are no shelves in the closets, and lamps in the balcony didn’t work. The view is of a valley, but there’s a construction site in front, so it was noisy. There were also a lot of mosquitoes during our stay. Although the staff were active in sending automated messages, they simply disappeared in case of the problem, like cleanliness issue. This was unfortunately the worst experience we've had on Booking.com, and we would not recommend this apartment.

The appartment is brand new still and that is noticeable. It is very clean and peaceful. The fact that it has two bathrooms makes it easy to stay here with multiple households. We got the feeling we stayed in a hotel, but then in the form of an appartment.
